I didnt really have a gd time sight seeing in the city. It rained non-stop, it was damn cold and everything was so bloody expensive!! Things are so much more expensive compared to London. Thus we didnt buy anything. Although I have to say the design for furniture and household items are really nice.
I think the weather definitely did not encourage me to walk around the city. Luckily Dav was around. He insisted that we still go out even though it rained. We walked from the hotel which is in the city centre to the main shopping street and made our way to the new port and ended up by the canal where the famous ‘Little Mermaid’ statue was. Ah.. the statue was such a disappointment too!! It’s a very very small statue…
In summary, Saturday was spent walking around the city in the rain for 5 hours and ended with a hot shower in the hotel and ordering sushi for dinner in the hotel room. Sunday proved to be a much better day. Some pictures taken on Saturday.

View of Tivoli in the day time. You can see the outline of the roller coster on the left hand side.

At the entrance to the new port where the famous christmas market was held. Nothing spectacular except for the buildings in the surrounding area. As you can see I’m all dressed up with my bright umbrella. But nothing stops the wind from blowing the rain into my face and wet my jeans!

The path towards the ‘Little Mermaid’ statue… can see or not?? hahahahah so damn small!!!! There’s even tourist boat stopping for tourist to take a pic from the boat.

There she is… okla.. at least I can say I have seen her in person!

This is the most exciting find of the day! We were at McDonalds having breakfast and then we saw hotdogs in the menu. Then we didnt pay attention to what the the lady was putting on our tray until after we paid. Interestingly we found we have just ordered a bag of baby carrots!! Honestly the pic on the wall looks like sausages! We even asked whether it was sausages and she said yes.. Anyway, I dont think you’ll find any McDonalds which serve carrots… we did!! In Copenhagen!! hahahahahaha

We invited some friends to our new flat 3 weeks ago for a small gathering. Knowing we wont be able to cook / prepare food for everyone, we suggested to have a potluck. We had a lots of fun trying everyone’s food, catching up, watched X-Factor and make lots of noise until past midnite!!
The dinner menu includes
- Lamb shank
- Papa John’s pizza
- Salad
- Pasta bake
- Chicken wing
- Salmon rice
- Tiramisu
- Organic choco cake
I am proud that everyone can cook very well. All the food was sooooo yummy. Now I have to start thinking for a reason to invite them back and get them to cook as well !! hehehe

Something strange happens every now and then. It happened to me last week.
I was tracked down by my ex-school mate in FB. The funny thing was I have no idea AT ALL who she was. It was quite embarrassing really. We were exchanging at least 6-7 messages in FB until I was convinced that she was who she said she is although I could not remember. Not only was she asking me to add her as a friend in FB, she also asked me to add her on my messenger. I did both without really thinking. I mean she knows half of my classmates and details like where my dad’s office was and where my sis studied!
Anyway, after exchanging info for another half hour on messenger I was still clueless. I even looked at her pictures … no recollection of anyone who looks like her… I am amazed that I could totally forgotten about someone whom I shared lots of information with.
That is not the end of it. I also asked my other schoolmate who sat next to me for 2 yrs about whether she know this girl. Like me, she has no idea at all. So maybe it’s not me huh.. maybe this girl just wanted to be my friend..
Dav gets very ‘upset’ with me when I share private info with strangers so easily. So I dont think he is very impress with this… hahahahaha oh well. Its too late now.

Uniqlo recently launched their range of HeatTech Thermal wear. Seeing that I will be in Denmark for 2 weeks, we decided to check it out. I ended up buying 4 thermal top in 4 different colours and 2 different styles. I have to admit indeed it worked quite well.. keeping me warm while maintaining my own personal style. I think it even ‘enhanced’ my style.. hahahahaha
Anyway, they are running a campaign for that range and had these camera to take your thermal image. They will advise you on which part of your body is emitting the most heat or losing the most heat and also what kind of protection you need. I’ve been advise that I need to wear a hat / beanie cos my forehead is emitting alot of heat thus I need some more of protection.

While Mumbai is under terrorist attacks, riots going on in Bangkok, the States trying to rescue the financial and manufacturing industry – I am peacefully going about my work in Copenhagen, Denmark.
It’s been quite cold here since I arrived. Today was slightly better as it has been raining the whole day. You would think that living in London for one yr would have trained me up quite well… so WRONG!! I am soo not used to the cold. Even my Russian colleagues is complaining about the weather.
Am staying in a hotel which is situated in the heart of the city centre. Just opposite the hotel is the famous Tivoli Gardens. Been told it’s like a really famous european theme park where Disneyland is based upon. Been browsing the tourist pamplet and doesnt seem like there’s much to see. I might want to visit the art gallery cos Danish is famous for their furniture design and maybe even visiting the Carlsberg Brewery.
One peculiar thing we noticed so far at least in the office is that Danish ppl stop working starting at 4pm… apparently this is very common. According to a local, this may be due to the cold weather and how the day is so short. Although they stop work quite early, they do start early at 8am.
Here’s some pics taken from my hotel room.
