In true English style, her fiance called our parents to asked for their blessings, a few days before he proposed. Traditional yet so sweet! I don’t think my parents were expecting it.

Now it’s time for us to save up cos she wants a beach wedding and it doesn’t look like it’s gonna be in Malaysia. Cant wait to have another celebration in the family.

Got this for my birthday from Dav.

AA called it the ‘Ferrari’ of cake mixer. It is one of the best mixer one can get… it certainly is the most expensive! When I was doing research on mixers, a lot of Kitchenaid owner tend to hand down the mixer to their children. That means longevity of the equipment!

I received a message in my Flickr account 2 weeks ago from the editor of Schmap Guide. Apparently this photo has been short-listed for inclusion in the tenth edition of their Schmap London Guide, to be published late March 2010.

I have not heard of this guide but figured it will be good to get it published. There is no money but I will be acknowledged as the photographer in the guide.

Let’s wait and see if it gets chosen.

I’m really proud of you!

Seems like we’ve been away for soooo long. In fact, we have only been away for 17 days.

I’m feeling really sleepy now and I have to work tomorrow. So this is gonna be a quick update.

We had lots of fun in India. It was truly a great experience living in an Indian village with my friend’s family, preparing for an Indian wedding hands-on and then traveling around South India for 10 days with a great bunch of newly made friends.

Will update more in the next few days. Time to ZZzzZZzzz….

Anyhow, I have managed to complete 2 items (of course there will be more to come). Firstly, I have put together a listing of things we brought with us as a reference to anyone who is planning to do the same thing as a guide. Our trip finally ended.

We had lots of fun and did not regret doing this (although some people think we’re mad!).

Stories about our trip will have to be posted in stages. There’s just so much to tell. I kept a dairy to ensure that I remember everything about the trip, people we have meet and food we have tried. The diary consists of 44 pages! So, at some point I’ll have to transferred that into the blog…

Now that this holiday has ended, we are already starting to plan for our next trip! We’ll be going to India in Jan 2010 to attend a friend’s wedding. We’ll also take the opportunity to travel around South India for 2 weeks. We just bought our air tickets yesterday, so there will be no backing out of this trip!

We celebrated the end of the trip with a bottle of champagne yesterday night.

Another 2 days here then off to Shanghai. 2 days there then it’s off to HK. We’re dreading the time when we have to fly back to London.

We can’t seem to access Facebook in Beijing. So we assume it’s still banned in China. Therefore there won’t be any update on our FB status till we get to HK.
